1. Who We Are

Revelix ("we", "our", or "us") is a digital gift reveal platform operated by Revelix (revelix.fun). We allow users to create interactive, animated gift experiences and share them via a magic link or QR code. Our registered contact email is privacy@revelix.fun.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide our service:

Account data: Your name and email address when you sign up (via Google OAuth or email).
Gift content: Messages, images, audio recordings, or links you add to a gift reveal.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction events (via Umami Analytics — privacy-first, no cookies).
Payment data: Billing is processed via Razorpay. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device type collected in server logs.

3. How We Use Your Data

To create, store, and deliver your gift reveals to recipients.
To manage your account and subscription.
To send transactional emails (gift notifications, receipts).
To improve our platform using aggregated, anonymised analytics.
To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use Umami Analytics, a GDPR-compliant, cookieless analytics platform. It collects no personally identifiable information and sets no tracking cookies. We also use a session cookie for authentication purposes only (it expires when you log out or after 30 days of inactivity).

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with trusted third-party providers necessary for operating our service:

Cloudinary — image and media storage.
Razorpay — payment processing.
Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure.
Sentry — error monitoring (no PII in error traces).

6. Gift Recipients

When someone receives a gift link from you, they access the experience without needing an account. We record their interaction (e.g., that the gift was opened) and may capture a reaction (if you enabled the Reaction Capture feature). We do not use recipient data for any other purpose.

7. Data Retention

Your account data and gift reveals are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. We delete inactive free-tier gift reveals after 12 months of inactivity.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and data.
Object to processing of your data.
Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).

9. Security

We use HTTPS (enforced via HSTS), encrypted database connections, and secure session tokens. Payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay and never touches our servers in plaintext.

10. Children's Privacy

Revelix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@revelix.fun and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of Revelix after the change constitutes acceptance.
